In 1999, I decided that the rush and hustle of the industry I was in was becoming overbearing and the financial stresses were ever increasing. To that end, retirement was an option, but not one that was very appealing, so I decided to take time to review what I really wanted. While going through this thought process, I kept spending more and more time with my Coin and Currency collection, that I had started when I was about 12.

Suddenly and after many hours and even days, the light turned on……why didn’t I start to buy and sell coins and paper money. I studied the market, the people in it and sought the advice of long time friends and some who were and are still in this industry. After studying a lot of advice and direction, it confirmed that this was where I wanted to go.

Having a solid background in Finance and General Small Business Management, I felt comfortable in changing to become a member of this community. Although I started in a very small manner, attending some trade shows with only 1 table or even less, it was quickly apparent this was where I wanted to be. Studying the buyers and sellers made me realize that I needed to give a lot more attention to the customers’ wants and needs, some were educational, some were helpful, and some were downright quirky.

This brought about studying the customers more closely, listening harder and responding as quickly as possible to their needs. Today, after 25 years, myself and our staff still follow that principle, “Listen, Learn and keep your customer happy”. We have always prided ourselves in providing unique items conveniently shipped and on-time, it’s a rule that we follow to this day.

Our continued friendship and association with many trade professionals has allowed us to grow and prosper and gives us the ongoing availability of their knowledge and experience. We do attend as many trade shows as we are able, searching for items we feel our customers would want and listening to their requests, always gave us a shopping list to take with us.

Keeping our customers happy, shipping on time and listening, is what keeps us here to this day.
